I decided that my Exmo needed a much longer clutch cable (about 2 feet longer) to re-route it away from all of the hot-spots under the bonnet. The old cable was a bit tired, so this idea would serve two purposes. Dave at Cable Tec wanted the old cable, with the idea of re-cycling the Ford fittings. I sent the cable to him, and he turned the job around in 24 hours! I have just fitted the new cable to the car without a hitch. The cable cost was about £28, which by the time carriage and VAT was added amounted to £45. A bit pricey compared to Henry Ford's version, but Cable Tec's version is a lot more robust and smoother in operation.
