I suppose it is high time I took this photo off the home page but it was such a good turnout we like to leave it here to remind us of better sunnier days back in August 2007. It would be great if we could have a turnout like this again this year.

LADIES ARE MADE VERY WELCOME, NOT JUST A CLUB FOR THE BOYS!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Dear Reader,
The Kimbolton Show was much better this year, mainly because it didn't rain! Clubs were all well supported and the ground was full if cars if all sorts. Thanks to Martin Pidd for getting the tickets for us this year. Chris and I did try!
Don't forget you are most welcome to come along and see us, either with or without a car (afterall, I don't have a car now!) There are some bargains to be had out there so if you are in the market for buying a car, perhaps it is still a good time to have a look round.
RHOCaR: As many will know, I took over the role as area secretary for RHOCaR which has now been extended to cover Herts, Beds and Bucks areas. Nothing changes apart from the name. John will still be on hand to help with advice etc.
If you are a new reader to the SG7s website, welcome! We hope you find something here that will interest you from photos of other kitcars to information about club meeting dates, annual events and reports, some (although not enough) are submitted by other members, which are always welcomed. Time to get writing... We do our best to go to as many of the shows as possible but don’t always manage to do them all. The club is a mix of SG7s Kit Car Club and the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR). If you wish to be added to our list to receive regular e-mail updates, please contact us on 07725 227590 or h.tween@btinternet.com and we will ensure that you are added.
You will find on the list of contents that we have a For Sale section and a Show Dates/Diary section listing the meetings of our club and also those of many other clubs we are associated with. If you have a link that we could add that might be of use to ‘members’ please also get in touch. We refer to ‘members’ although there is no actual membership fee for joining the club. Just turn up at a meeting and say ‘hi’.
We are reverting to the raffle system this year in the hope of making a little money to donate to Hoody Bear's trip round the UK raising money for the Air Ambulances as above.
The club was set up to find other like-minded people who have an interest in kitcars and in fact cars in general. We have certainly achieved this judging by the range of cars we see at monthly meets.
What we did in 2009
To give an insight into what the club spends its time doing during the year we have, as well as the monthly meetings which ran from January to November 2009 we have also had the following outings:
National Kit Car Show Stoneleigh
National Kit Car Show Detling
Old Warden Classic Car Show
Camping in Dunwich, Suffolk
Kimbolton Castle Country Fayre (Sporting Bears)
Knebworth Classic Car Show (camped overnight!)
An enjoyable Christmas meal at the George IV.
As mentioned above, any input from readers is welcomed as are private adverts, useful links, photos etc. Please contact us or just come along to a monthly meeting. Generally speaking, the meets take place on the first Sunday of each month, at the George IV Public House in Baldock, SG7 6LZ, but if this clashes with a major event, we shift the meeting either forward or back a week.
I would like to ask, if anyone copies any of the content contained within this website (which you are more than welcome to do), please just give acknowledgement on your website as to where the photo or write up came from and who wrote it.
If you have been to the website before welcome back!
John & Helen
The site has now had over 34,260!!!!

Thank you for looking!
General information about the Club
Meetings are well supported, friendly and at times very useful! A good place to pick someone's brains about problems you are encountering. If you have problems, ask anyone at a meeting and they will point you in the direction of someone who can help.
There are no membership fees for this club but we will be selling raffle tickets again this year. After the cost of prizes and a small amount towards the running of the website have been deducted, the rest will be donated to the RHOCaR bear trip around the UK raising money for the Association of Air Ambulances.
Whether you own a car, are building one, are thinking of buying one or just love looking at cars, we meet regularly at the George IV, Baldock, Herts. (A very appropriate venue since the postcode for the pub is SG7!) The menu is good, the car park is split into higher and lower levels , we take over this higher level, with fields to the back of it. Plenty of garden benches to sit at and have a drink on those hot, sunny (ever hopeful) days. The staff continue to make us very welcome in a friendly atmosphere. We have held our Christmas parties there for the last four years which have been very good.

Beware: there is a gully that runs across the car park between the lower and upper levels, mind the bump!
Since starting the meetings back in July 2002 (can't believe we have been doing this for over 7 years), we have had a wide variety of cars come to the meetings, including Robin Hood, Cobra, Dax Rush, Westfield, Locost, Beach Buggy, Fisher Fury, Banham Sprint, Sherpley, Jago Jeep, Marlin, NG, Locust, MNR Vortx, Caterham, Porsche Spyder replica, Raw Striker, Ronart, Jaguar, a Model Ford T, Merlin, Dutton, MK Indy,Ultima, Hot Rods and the occasional classic car. We have outings, barbeques, a Christmas do and of course the monthly meet on the first Sunday of each month (unless otherwise notified - see the diary section). If it rains, come in your 'tintop'. Either John or I will always endeavour to be there (not missed a meeting yet - always managed to get either John or myself along to the meets). There are annual events such as the shows at Detling (Kent), Stafford , Stoneleigh , Newark, and Exeter. It is good to meet up with other SG7 members at the shows. The overnight camping/barbeque is a hit with everyone who joins in. Sometimes the major shows clash with the first weekend meeting date so again check the diary section to see what changes might be made to the meeting times.
We hope you can find the time to join a meeting. Take a look at the 'profiles' section to help put names to faces so you know who we are.
